YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS

Privacy, made clear.

We believe your information belongs to you. This policy explains the permissions the app may request and how information is handled when you use CyberVitals.

Privacy-first approach Last updated: 3 November 2026
01 / OVERVIEW

Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to CyberVitals (the “App”), published by NIELIT Kohima (“we”, “us” or “our”). It describes how the App accesses information and device permissions to provide its features.

By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. If you do not agree with it, please stop using the App.

02 / DATA HANDLING

We do not retain your data

⌁

No persistent storage. No profiling.

We do not maintain a database of your personal information or retain files submitted through the App.

  • Uploaded content: If you choose to upload a file, image, document or other content, it is processed only to provide the feature you requested and is deleted immediately after that processing is complete.
  • No training: Uploaded content and information accessed through the App are not used to train, fine-tune or improve artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
  • No sale or third-party use: We do not sell, rent, share or disclose uploaded content or personal information to third parties for advertising, profiling, analytics, marketing or their independent use.
  • No retained copies: We do not intentionally keep copies of uploaded content after the requested operation is complete.

Processing note: Some features may require temporary in-memory or network processing to complete your request. Any such processing is limited to that purpose, and submitted content is deleted immediately after processing. Do not upload information unless you are comfortable using the relevant feature.

03 / DEVICE PERMISSIONS

Permissions and why they may be needed

The App requests a permission only when a feature needs it and, where Android requires it, only after you are asked to grant access. The permissions below are conditional examples: only the permissions actually declared in the published app and used by its features apply.

▧

Photos, videos and files

READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, Android Photo Picker, or document picker access

Used only when you choose to select or upload a photo, video, document or other file for an App feature. The App does not scan your files or access unrelated content. Selected content is processed for your requested action and deleted immediately after processing.

If upload is available
◎

Camera

CAMERA

Used only if the App provides an in-app camera, scanning or photo-capture feature. The camera is activated following your action and is not used for background recording.

If camera feature exists
◖

Microphone

RECORD_AUDIO

Used only if you use a voice recording, audio capture or speech-input feature. Audio is accessed for that feature only and is not recorded in the background.

If audio feature exists
⌖

Location

ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Used only if a location-based feature is provided, such as showing nearby results or attaching a location at your request. Approximate location is preferred where it is sufficient. The App does not track your location in the background unless a clearly disclosed, user-enabled feature specifically requires it.

If location feature exists
▤

Contacts

READ_CONTACTS

Used only if a feature lets you choose a person from your contacts. Access is limited to the feature you initiate; contact information is not uploaded or retained by us.

If contact selection exists
⌕

Phone, SMS or call-related access

READ_PHONE_STATE, SMS or call-log permissions (if applicable)

These permissions are not required for ordinary app operation. They would be requested only if a specific, clearly described core feature genuinely requires them, and only after the applicable Android and Google Play requirements are met.

Only if essential
↗

Internet access

INTERNET and network state access, if declared

Used to connect to the service or retrieve/process content required for the feature you request. Internet access by itself does not mean that we store your personal information.

If online features exist

We do not request permissions merely for convenience. You can manage or revoke Android permissions at any time through your device settings. If you deny a permission, the feature that depends on it may not be available, while other App features may continue to work.

04 / SHARING

Third-party services

We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information or uploaded content with third parties for their own purposes, advertising or model training. The App may rely on infrastructure or service providers strictly where technically necessary to deliver a feature you request. If any such provider processes content, it must do so only to provide that service and not for its own independent purposes.

Developer action required: Before publishing, list any SDKs, hosting providers, analytics tools, crash-reporting tools, authentication services or APIs included in the App, and accurately describe any data they receive. Remove this paragraph or revise it if your actual integrations do not meet these statements.

05 / SECURITY

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the App’s operation to protect information during transmission and processing. No method of electronic transmission or processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure; however, we aim to minimise access and exposure by limiting processing to the feature you initiate and not retaining submitted content.

06 / CHILDREN

Children’s privacy

The App is not designed to knowingly collect or retain personal information from children. We do not maintain a user-data store. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the App, contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate steps.

07 / YOUR CHOICES

Your control and choices

  • You choose whether to grant optional device permissions.
  • You choose whether to select or upload content for a feature.
  • You can stop using the App and revoke permissions through Android settings.
  • Because we do not retain uploaded content or maintain a personal-data database, there is generally no stored upload history for us to retrieve or delete.
08 / CHANGES

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features, permissions or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be published at this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Please review it periodically.
